Independence Arch Initiative – A National Vision
Among ME Innovations' most distinguished achievements is the creation of the Independence Arch, an original monumental architectural proposal developed to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States. Conceived and designed by founder Shady Migally, the project reimagines the traditional triumphal arch as a uniquely American civic landmark, integrating classical architecture, historical symbolism, advanced solar alignment, and immersive public spaces into a single national monument.
As an independent initiative undertaken in the public interest, the proposal was formally presented to federal planning and design agencies in Washington, D.C., including public testimony before the National Capital Planning Commission, demonstrating a commitment to contributing innovative ideas to America's civic landscape. The design introduces a monumental museum, educational exhibits, an observation deck overlooking the nation's capital, and a precisely engineered annual Independence Day solar illumination that symbolizes the enduring principles of liberty and the Declaration of Independence.
The Independence Arch reflects ME Innovations' philosophy that architecture should do more than create buildings; it should preserve history, inspire future generations, and strengthen national identity. The project stands as a testament to the firm's ability to envision, design, and communicate architecture at the highest civic scale, combining artistic excellence, technical precision, and a deep respect for America's heritage.
